Is it Hard to be a Christian?

That is a question that I would readily say no to. No, it is not really hard to be a Christian.

Ask yourself, how could it be hard to love God? Even with Job moments, which we will all have even as Christians. And how could it be hard to Worship God?

As a Christian loving your neighbor is not hard, no matter how many differences we have with our neighbors sometimes, love is the easy part.

And what could be easier than saying, “God, I have this problem here you see, and I don’t know what to do about it, could You carry it around for a while and get back to me on how I should handle it?” And He never, not ever, says no. That would be my favorite part of being a Christian. I got a house out of that one once.

Okay, yes He’ll get back to us with some difficult solutions on occasion. Usually just to teach us something important, but if we really laid it all out for Him in trust, He’ll lay it all back with peace and understanding. And anything He asks of us, even if it seems difficult, when we comply there is a complete understanding of why as we see how much better our lives are when we follow the Christian walk He has intended for us.

So what is the hardest part of being a Christian? Finding time is the hardest part of being a Christian. Once you become a Christian you want to converse with God and worship Him and do right by Him. That is the hardest part of being a Christian.

Here are a few things I do to find time to be a Christian.

• Have your radio tuned to a favorite Christian radio station. Whether in the car running errands or at home doing housework, you’ll never be alone.
• Learn how to talk to God whenever and wherever you are. Pray to Him. Praise Him. Do whatever it is you need to. It only takes a minute here and there to ask when in need or remember your blessings from Him in these little pockets of time.

These are the simplest things you can do and all those little amounts of time add up and can only encourage you to embrace the Christian life you try to lead.
